Our Rehabilitation Department is committed to serving the community by providing exceptional care to all of our patients through our personal and advanced approach to rehabilitation. We don’t just treat the symptom or the diagnosis, we treat the whole person, addressing pertinent criteria that will enable our patients to participate fully in therapy and reach their functional goals.
Experiencing a serious accident, athletic injury or illness can make simple tasks, such as tying your shoes, walking across a room or even communicating, difficult to accomplish. Our Rehabilitation Department staff is skilled and certified to evaluate and treat a variety of diagnoses, and we pride ourselves on providing an encouraging and helpful environment for you to achieve the goals you set for yourself when you come in to see us.
We are here for you to help you one step and one word at a time by providing a wide range of services that can help you reach your maximum ability and independence as quickly and safely as possible.
Wilbarger General offers rehab services on an inpatient, outpatient and home health basis. An order from your personal physician must be obtained for all therapy assessments to be completed.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Our occupational therapists help you return to everyday activities we often take for granted, like cooking, dressing and bathing. Our therapists are here to help you if you: have overuse or repetitive strain injuries; recently underwent surgery on your hip, knee, shoulder or hand; suffer from arthritis, or a muscle or nerve disease; have suffered a hand, wrist, shoulder or elbow injury that causes problems with completing everyday activities.
Our therapists will use a variety of treatments to help you reach the goals they have set for you.
Those treatments include:

- joint protection strategies
Medicare, Medicaid and other insurances typically cover occupational therapy.
